Jo Morris represented a soldier charged with being AWOL at the Colchester Military Court Martial.

This case involved an allegation of abandoning an exercise in the States during a permitted walk out causing damage to the reputation of the Regiment and having a corrosive effect upon morale amongst the troops.

Jo was able to persuade the Judge and the Board to impose a sentence of suspended detention despite the recommendation in the sentencing guidelines of immediate detention of six months.

Jo was instructed by the AFLAA.
