Sam Stockwell, led by Mark McDonald of 33 Bedford Row, represented ‘Mr C’ at Snaresbrook Crown Court, charged with conspiracy to transfer prohibited weapons, namely firearms.
The Crown’s case was that Mr C, one of five defendants, was part of a wider conspiracy involving a Lithuanian network selling various firearms in the UK. The evidence against Mr C specifically was that of phone, cell site and fingerprints.
After a seven week trial, involving some 27,000 pages of prosecution evidence, the jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict on Mr C within five hours. One other defendant was acquitted and three were convicted.
Sam and Mark were instructed by Ms Patricia Whiles of Credence Law Group.
