Chris Johnston achieves success in large-scale, multi-handed “County Lines” drugs case

Chris Johnston achieves success in large-scale, multi-handed “County Lines” drugs case at Cambridge Crown Court. Following a two week trial, the jury unanimously acquitted Chris’ client on all eight counts. This man was first on the indictment in what had been a wide-reaching investigation, which had been a result of a dedicated, pre-existing serious crime operation. The case featured the defendant being co-located in his car with the exact movements of the deal line over long journeys. The prosecution also supported the case by the large seizure of three types of Class A drugs as well as Class B drugs and a large quantity of cash. CCTV footage of the defendant at a time the deal line was “topped up” showed him acting in concert with the other main offender. The result was set against the background of the defendant’s previous conviction for a pair of identical drugs supply cases being advanced before the jury.

Chris was instructed by Angie Deacon from Lawtons Solicitors
