Kevin Molloy successfully stays indictment by winning an entrapment abuse of process argument against an undercover police officer.

In a long running case Kevin Molloy drafted a detailed and lengthy abuse argument where he challenged the conduct of an undercover officer who had befriended the defendant online. In lengthy legal argument it was submitted the undercover officer actually entrapped the defendant, luring him into committing an offence that, but for the behaviour of the officer he would never have committed. Such arguments rarely succeed and the Learned Judge deemed the circumstances in this case exceptional. Thanks go to instructing solicitor Nick Titchener, a Director of Lawtons Solicitors who first instructed Kevin in the case in November 2021.
