Edward McCann, a man who served his country through the army’s royal electrical and mechanical engineers and who has been suffering from Leukaemia since 2010, has been sentenced to imprisonment by Swansea Crown Court: he was defended by Yasin Patel.
As was reported widely by The Times and The Sunday Times this week (21 & 22 January), Mr. McCann received a lengthy sentence for his part in a conspiracy that involved the production of cannabis oils, the growth of cannabis plants and cannabis infused chocolate. Edward McCann was given a sentence of imprisonment of seven years and seven months.
Mr. McCann had undergone chemotherapy to treat his cancer and stated that he was producing cannabis oils and other cannabis plants to alleviate his constant pain and make his life bearable.
