Michael Polak Speaks at RightsCon in Costa Rica on Options for Justice for the Uyghur People

On Tuesday 6 June 2023, Church Court Chambers barrister Michael Polak spoke on a round table at RightsCon, in San Jose, Costa Rica, titled ‘Has the international legal system failed us? The case of the Uyghurs’ in relation to efforts to secure justice for the Uyghur people for the atrocities which have been and are being committed against them.

Michael spoke about the case that he brought in Argentina, for the World Uyghur Congress and the Uyghur Human Rights Project, which is currently before the Prosecutor and Investigating Judge of the Buenos Aires Federal Court (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/08/17/landmark-case-filed-against-chinese-officials-human-rights-atrocities/)
