Yasin Patel begins Terrorism trial at Birmingham

Yasin Patel shall begin defence of a young man charged with terrorism offences before the Resident Judge of Birmingham today.

The charges of encouragement of terrorism date back to 2020 and according to the Prosecution case involve “statements on social media to members of the public encouraging and inducing them to commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism”.

The trial will consider contemporary and historical matters and issues including the attacks outside  the offices of Charlie Hebdo and the beheading of Samuel Paty.

Yasin Patel is a member of the Crime and Regulatory Group and defends on all aspects of White Collar and High Profile Criminal work and is instructed by Shahid Khan of Advice Wise Solicitors.
