Lucia Coerman successful in complex immigration appeal in the First Tier Tribunal

Lucia Coerman has successfully appealed against the Home Office’s decision to refuse her client’s asylum claim, in the First Tier Tribunal.

The claim was a challenging one, with her client having fled Pakistan due to persecution more than 10 years ago. Consequently, the majority of evidence had been lost, and he had spent several years in other safe countries.

Nonetheless, following robust submissions the Tribunal found that Lucia’s client was credible and that it was likely he was still at risk of persecution by the Taliban as well as the Pakistani Army, thus allowing the appeal.
