New Law Journal publishes article by George Hepburne Scott regarding the recent ground breaking High Court case regarding prison conditions.

In the article George sets out how the High Court for the very first time has raised a question mark over whether the conditions in certain French prisons are so bad as amounting to ‘cruel or inhuman treatment’ for the purposes of the prohibition of such treatment as provided by Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
