Church Court Chambers is pleased to welcome Charlotte Bull, experienced and highly regarded Junior specialising in serious crime, with a particular focus on Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO).

Called to the Bar in 2016, Charlotte prosecutes and defends across the full spectrum of criminal offences. She gained significant experience from three years at the Crown Prosecution Service, where she served as a Senior Crown Prosecutor and Acting District Crown Prosecutor, leading cases involving county lines offending, attempted murder and firearms offences.

Charlotte also spent a year in the CPS RASSO Unit, working on successful prosecutions involving rape, child sexual abuse and non-recent sexual offences. Since returning to private practice, she has developed a busy RASSO practice with considerable success and is a Grade 3 CPS Advocate for both General Crime and RASSO.

Charlotte commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Church Court. Chambers has an excellent reputation for handling some of the most serious and high-profile criminal cases, and I was particularly drawn to the strength of the team, and its supportive and collaborative ethos.

“Chambers has a progressive and modern approach that really stands out at the Criminal Bar. With a deep bench of excellence at all levels of Call, a CEO with excellent connections due to her previous career as a defence solicitor and a hard working and dedicated clerks room, I’m excited to begin this next chapter of my practice and look forward to working with my new colleagues.”

Maria Karaiskos KC, Head of Chambers, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Charlotte to Church Court. Her experience and expertise are a fantastic addition to our criminal team, and her arrival comes at an exciting time of continued growth for Chambers.”
