Ciara McElvogue discusses the sentencing of Zhenhao Zou on LBC News

Ciara McElvogue has appeared on LBC News to speak on the sentencing of Zhenhao Zou to life with a minimum term of 24 years after being convicted for numerous counts of rape against 10 women.

Commenting on the sentencing, Ciara noted: “The sentencing Judge found the defendant to be dangerous in law and therefore an indeterminate sentence was justified.

“The sentence takes into account the serious aggravating features of this unique case, specifically the degree of pre-planning, the use of alcohol and drugs to rape women whilst they were totally unconscious and the filming of the acts. The offences therefore fall within the highest category on the relevant Sentencing Guidelines for the offence of rape.”
