Creanna Dodson secures result for vulnerable client in failure to provide specimen trial

Creanna Dodson has secured a great result for her vulnerable client in his failure to provide specimen trial at Stevenage Magistrates Court.

The Crown sought an adjournment on the day of trial, despite failing to review medical evidence previously provided in relation to the defendant’s medical history and neurodiversity.

Following robust submissions by Counsel, highlighting the lengthy delays and the significant impact on the defendant, the bench determined that granting a further adjournment would not be in the interests of justice.

As a result, the Crown offered no evidence, enabling the defendant to put the matter behind him and maintain his good character.
