Michael Polak and Emma Richards conclude complex crack cocaine and heroin trafficking trial

Michael Polak, leading Emma Richards, has successfully concluded a three-week drugs supply and criminal property case.
The issues at trial concerned whether the three defendants were running a drugs line which was making and receiving thousands of calls each day for the provision of crack cocaine and heroin in the London/Essex area. The case centred on the interpretation of a large volume of phone, forensic and financial evidence, with members of Essex police providing crucial expert evidence linking each Defendant to the drugs enterprise.
The jury returned unanimous guilty verdicts for all nine counts for all three defendants on the indictment.
Michael and Emma were instructed by CPS East of England.
