Church Court Chambers prides itself having experienced Counsel who specialise in all areas of immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our barristers have extensive experience in these areas and consistently provide advice, presentation and advocacy in a wide range of complex cases from the First Tier Tribunal, to the Upper Tribunal, Judicial Review and Court of Appeal.

Additionally, the team provides extensive strategic advice and guidance on deportation, immigration bail, trafficking, modern slavery appeals including country guidance cases to the Court of Appeal and if necessary, to the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

The emphasis of our barristers is to work closely with solicitors, lay clients and NGOs and other third sector organisations in the preparation of cases and to deliver positive results in a pragmatic and diligent manner. In particular our barristers are regularly involved in all stages of advice and representation from the preparatory steps of a case to its conclusion.

This is supported by a set of experienced, assertive and efficient clerks who understand the fast paced and demanding nature of immigration, asylum and nationality law.

Many of our barristers, in suitable cases, are able to provide a range of services directly to members of the public via the Public Access and Litigation Access Scheme. This service can include advice and representation in relation to applications, appeals, administrative and judicial reviews.

Our barristers are also happy to deliver lectures and seminars as well as provide bespoke in-house training in all areas of immigration, asylum and nationality law.
