The Church Court Chambers Extradition team prides itself in offering a range of services expertly tailored to the needs of our lay and professional clients. The team both defends and prosecutes extradition cases receiving instructions from a range of UK based solicitors, individuals and internationally based extradition lawyers

We consistently provide our clients with the highest level of quality representation throughout the entire process. Our barristers are available to provide advice in advance of proceedings or at short notice. The Church Court Chambers Extradition team regularly receives instructions in the Westminster Magistrates’ Court. We offer expert advice and representation in relation to appeals to the Divisional and Administrative Courts. We are regularly asked to deal with privately funded appeals resulting from adverse decisions in the lower court.

Whilst there is no automatic right to appeal in extradition proceedings, a requested person has the option to apply for leave to appeal the decision of the judge in the lower court. The Church Court Chambers Extradition team is available provide expert advice and assistance in relation to both seeking leave and the advising on the merits attached to the renewal of applications.

Extradition proceedings often raise a variety of significant human rights issues, from fair trials, prison conditions, abuse of process to rights relating to family life. The Church Court Chambers Extradition team is available to provide advice and assistance in relation to obtaining bail for our clients and we offer assistance to individuals seeking safe passage whilst Red Notices are being challenged.
