Yasin Patel interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live re FIFA transfer rules

Yasin Patel was interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live, discussing the recent Court of Justice of the European Union ruling that has found that several of FIFA’s transfer rules contradict EU law.

Yasin explained that this ruling could have far-reaching consequences for football’s transfer system, meaning that players may be able to move more freely to other clubs by breaking with a contract as opposed to being tied to a club and contract.

He noted that clubs purchasing players may also not have to pay compensation in such cases.
